LS29 Time runs during the Bradford Local Authority Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays.

Please check the email you will receive on booking for confirmation of session times as these can vary.

During a full day session, there is a morning and afternoon snack time that we will provide. Lunch is at 12.30pm and we usually provide a free hot lunch. or families can provide a packed lunch. When you first make a booking we will ask you about any dietary or feeding requirements.

Typical activities include:

  • Sensory and messy play

  • Arts and crafts

  • Baking and cooking

  • Physical games and sports

  • Forest school learning

  • Music

  • Animal therapy

  • Yoga

  • Trips out

As we have a number of rooms in the building no activity will be compulsory, children can choose to do what they prefer.

Trips are to green spaces around Ilkley, and into the community, helping the children to understand how the town works and giving them the chance to practice life skills like shopping, handling money, travelling on public transport and ticket buying.

Some children may prefer the routine of remaining at the centre, avoiding the disruption of a trip. Please check the itinerary that will be sent to you when your place is confirmed, and contact us in advance if you think your child or young person would prefer this. Please note it may not be possible to arrange this on secondary days, if not enough young people wish to stay back at the centre to justify hiring the venue and staffing it.

Our new venue from December 2020 is Ben Rhydding Scout Hut, Wheatley Lane, Ilkley, LS29 8ET. Located in Ben Rhydding, Ilkley, it has different spaces to meet the children’s needs throughout the day: an outside play area, a covered outside space, a sensory room and two activity halls.

  • Safely enclosed outside space

  • Disabled facilities with a change table and hoist

  • About five minutes walk from Ben Rhydding train station

  • Parking for drop off and pick up is limited, please street park if you can do so and your young person is able to manage the walk safely.

Prices are as follows:

  • £20 per day standard (£10 per day for half-day sessions)
