ABOUT THE CLUB

LS29 Time runs once a week for secondary-age young people, once a week for primary-age children, and once a week as a mixed-age quiet session during the Bradford Local Authority Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays.

The club runs from 10am to 3.30pm for primary-age, 4pm for secondary-age. The car park gates are open until 10.30am for drop off, and about five minutes before for pick up times, unless prior arrangement is made for an early pick up with the managers.

There is a morning and afternoon snack time that we will provide. Lunch is at 12.30pm and we would ask families to provide a packed lunch. Please let us know on the booking form about any dietary or feeding requirements.

Typical activities include:

  • Sensory and messy play

  • Arts and crafts

  • Baking and cooking

  • Physical games and sports

  • Forest school learning

  • Music

  • Animal therapy

  • Yoga

  • Trips out

As we have a number of rooms in the building no activity will be compulsory, children can choose to do what they prefer.

Trips are to green spaces around Ilkley, and into the community, helping the children to understand how the town works and giving them the chance to practice life skills like shopping, handling money, travelling on public transport and ticket buying.

Some children may prefer the routine of remaining at the centre, avoiding the disruption of a trip. Please check the itinerary that will be sent to you when your place is confirmed, and contact us in advance if you think your child or young person would prefer this. Please note it may not be possible to arrange this on secondary days, if not enough young people wish to stay back at the centre to justify hiring the venue and staffing it.
